Preview
’Lithuania perhaps unexpectedly find themselves with an all-or-nothing promotion opportunity. Level on points with Sweden after 7 games each, they have the harder match though - as Croatia's win over Malta could suggest a tougher opponent and a close game. Sweden really should beat Latvia so only a win will do and somehow they need to get a winning bonus point too for a better chance should the Swedes underperform. Croatia can't improve their placing unless they win with a BP, as they have a slight head-to-head advantage over Malta and could avoid a relegation play-off. The game finishes about half an hour before the Sweden match so should Lithuania win, they will have an anxious wait to see if all has been in vain, or if celebrations are in order.’
