Romania and Georgia continued to dominate this tournament. Romania easily accounted for Portugal in Lisbon whilst Georgia thumped Germany in Germany.
Spain raised a few eyebrows when they convincingly defeated Russia in Madrid. Making full use of their French-based contingent Spain could well threaten the two leading nations.
