Test Match: Jaguars to meet Namibia

08.05.2009
Namibia v Argentina 'A' in Buenos Aires

Preview
The Namibians (The Welwitschias) travel to Buenos Aires to meet the Jaguars (Argentina 'A') in a test friendly. The Namibians are preparing for their international programme which includes games against South Africa (before the Lions arrive). For the Jaguars this match will give them a warm-up before their CONSUR A and World Cup matches coming up in May, and later, for their matches in the Churchill Cup.

These teams met for the first time during the 2007 IRB Nations Cup held in Romania. Argentina 'A' won comfortably 47-13. The Namibians have also faced the full strength Pumas during the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia. They lost that one as well, 14-67.

GWC Rugby Rankings do not apply.

Prediction: Argentina 'A' will be too slick, winning by 25 points.

  1. Good day..

My brother, Julian Botes, playing for Namibia, his surname was written and spelt incorrectly. If you would please be so kind as to fix this error.

    Regards
    Botes family
