HONG KONG v BELGIUM 2nd test

21.12.2013
Hong Kong 18, Belgium 12 in Hong Kong (2nd test)

Briefly
Despite scoring two tries to none Belgium could not get passed the boot of Benjamin Rimene who kicked five penalty goals. Hong Kong applied pressure on the Belgian line late in the game after dominating much of the second half and were rewarded with a last minute dropped goal by Chris McAdam.

The two-nil test series result was significant for Hong Kong as Belgium were higher on the IRB Rankings. The results give Hong Kong a good platform in their preparations for the 2014 Asia Five Nations competition and the crucial World Cup qualifying series.

The first placed Asia nation will automatically qualify for the 2015 Rigby World Cup. The second placed team will qualify for the repechage series.
