New Zealand 39, Argentina 18 in Christchurch (Rugby Championship)
Briefly
New Zealand eased past Argentina in Christchurch in a game of mixed stages.
Initially New Zealand were completely dominant but for a stubborn and well organised Argentina defence. Argentina looked as though they would be overwhelmed.
In the second half Argentina lifted their game and at times seriously rattled the All Blacks. Two quick tries generated from a line out and rolling mauls (an Argentinean speciality) stung the All Blacks to recover and finish the game on top.
Nothing could be taken away from the Argentinean performance.
