Preview
Although in last place on the championship table, Spain has not been outclassed by any of the sides. Their performance against Romania was very creditable. Sadly, Spain has a very inconsistent selection policy and they are going through a truck load of players.

Georgia is undefeated and hasn’t looked like losing a match. Their performances and discipline has been awful, far from the side we saw at the Rugby World Cup. Despite that form I can’t see them losing to Spain.

Nice touch by Georgia RFU sees Irakli Abuselidze selected as captain for his 85th and final test rugby match.

Preview
In the past Russia has been the dominant team in these clashes but Portugal has pushed the Russians very close in recent encounters, which includes a win on Russian soil in 2011.

Whilst neither team looks to be a 1,2 or 3 placing certainty at the end of the competition both teams could easily slip to the bottom of the points table. This would place them dangerously close to relegation mid-2014.

This situation places a win today for either side as crucial.
