At this stage of the tournament the JAB's look to have the edge on everbody else and tomorrow will be much the same. The Japanese will soon run out of tackle power against this strong side. Meanwhile Samoa should have too much gas for the Tongans who were disappointing in their first match. I expect comfortable wins to the JABs and to Samoa.

Review
The Junior AB's recorded an impressive win over a strong Fijian side. They now look to be the pace-setters for this tournament.

Review
This was a match that see-sawed right through towards the end of the second half. Samoa came back strongly against a Japanese side that looked to have the match in hand when they led 15-12 mid-way through the second half. A strong Samoan finish saw them win comfortably in the end.

Fiji made the more impressive start to this competition out of the two. They powered their way over Tonga with what looked like a fairly good Fijian side containing a good supply of overesaes-based players. The Junior All Blacks had to work hard for their win against Samoa. Could this match tomorrow turn out to be the final?

This match Samoa does not classify as a 'test' match. Which is a strange situation considering the strength of the Junior All Black side.
Samoa's problems are usually centred around how many of their overseas-based players are able, willing or fit enough to return home for this series. Traditionally the Samoan, Fijian and Tongan sides for this tournament are not as strong as say their World Cup squads. Having said that a good number of overseas players are in the squad. "The forward core is made up of overseas-based players with veteran Fosi Palaamo making a great comeback with Mahonri Schwalger and Census Johnston making up the front row.
