Uganda will be playing only for pride as they were swept away from any title chances in previous losses to Kenya and Zimbabwe. Only Kenya has a mathematical chance of overtaking Zimbabwe to retain the Cup.

Kenya also has a firm grip on the Elgon Cup, played between Kenya and Uganda at both women’s and men’s test rugby. Kenya goes into this match with a 17 point aggregate lead. Uganda would need to win by 18 points to take the Elgon Cup.

Uganda’s coach has made three changes to the side that lost to Kenya last weekend, keeping faith with the bulk of his players.
