Uganda v Kenya in Nairobi (Victoria Cup; Elgon Cup)
Venue:
Preview
Both teams have recently been on the receiving end of defeats by a resurgent Zimbabwe. Last weekend Uganda lost 21-49 and two weeks ago Kenya lost 24-42, both in Zimbabwe. This should give a fairly accurate indication of the form of both teams.
Uganda has the advantage of more game time. They have played two extra test matches, losing 15-25 to Zimbabwe at home in mid June in a Victoria Cup and CAR Division 1B match, and then defeated Madagascar 58-30 a few days later, also at home.
Kenya has the home ground advantage. They are also the holder of the Elgon Cup, which is also up for grabs. They have also a good record against Uganda since 2008.
Without knowing the squad lists it is difficult to gauge the strength of todays teams.
